About This Episode
Season 5. Episode 3.
Studying. Something that every student has to do at one point or another during their academic career.
Many know that achieving good grades in school requires studying, but what is the best way to retain information? Your host Natalie Hinton meets with three students with varying majors on her campus at Cal State San Marcos to have them share their own unique study methods on Education Chat. After discussing these methods, Natalie takes on the task of trying them all herself to see which one yields the best results.
From listening to music, to making flashcards, to rewriting notes, there are many ways to retain information. There are hundreds of thousands of study methods created by students and educational leaders, but which one is the most effective? It heavily depends on your own learning style and the course material that one is focusing on. Not all study methods will work for everyone, so it is up to each individual to understand what works best for them.
Take just a few minutes out of your day to watch Natalie apply three different study methods and give commentary on the measurable results of each of them in a fast-paced, short-form format. Not only is this episode for students who need studying inspiration, but also for those who want to truly understand how learners in this day and age approach their coursework.
