Dr. Adrienne Grayson
Associate Dean, Educational Partnerships, Riverside City College
Firmly committed to educational justice, access and equity in higher education, Dr. Adrienne Grayson has directly served historically marginalized and first-generation students for over twenty years. Having been a first-generation college student of color herself, she has had first-hand knowledge of the power educators can have in changing the lives and trajectories of students and their families. Her knowledge and experience in higher education span both the California Community College and University of California systems. Dr. Grayson is the Associate Dean of Educational Partnerships at Riverside City College, where she oversees programs such as dual enrollment; Rising Scholars, which serves justice-involved students; College Corps, which is a service-learning program; as well as partnerships with adult education programs and other agencies. She holds a doctorate in Community College Leadership from San Diego State University, a master’s degree in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University, and a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Education from the University of California, Irvine. She is a native of Riverside, CA, and has three beautiful, very active children, who keep her on her toes.
