This conference is organized by San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools in collaboration with California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) Gear Up, San Bernardino County Children’s Network, Riverside County Office of Education, and many other amazing partners. This year, the Regional Parent Summit will be held from September 22, 2020, to September 25, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
As in previous years, this is a free event for families designed to increase partnerships with parents, district/school family engagement teams, and community stakeholders with the knowledge necessary to guide ALL students towards educational success.
Each day, between September 22nd to 25th, there will be a featured keynote speaker live between 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday: Dr. Daniel Walker, filmmaker, scholar, social entrepreneur. “Confessions of an Imperfect Parent”
Wednesday: Director of English Learners, Santa Ana USD. “Equity in Education: A Message for Parents”
Thursday: Laurel Kirchhoff, Digital Learning, Project Specialist, SBCSS. “The EdTech Handbook for Parents… The Ultimate Guide for Parents in the Digital Age”
Friday: Michael McCormick. Superintendent, Val Verde USD. “A Districts Journey of Building Trusting Relationships”
