Jake Poore

Director of Communication

Jacob (Jake) Poore is the Director of Communication for Growing Inland Achievement (GIA), where he shapes award-winning strategic marketing communication to strengthen educational equity and economic mobility across the Inland Empire. Since joining GIA in 2020, he has elevated the organization’s narrative, visibility, and stakeholder engagement, leading to measurable increases in organizational goals and objectives.

Prior to GIA, Jake’s experience includes 15+ years in communication and marketing roles across the California State University and University of California systems. At Cal State San Bernardino, he launched Coyote Advertising—a student-driven agency that provided hands-on training in media, advertising, and design—while also teaching public relations and communication courses. His leadership has helped prepare the next generation of creative professionals and advance equity in educational outcomes.

A lifelong Inland Empire resident, Jake is a product of the region’s public education system, from elementary school through graduate school. His own experience navigating Inland K-12 schools, community college, and public universities was transformative and continues to shape his deep commitment to educational access and opportunity. That journey is at the heart of his work at GIA.

An Inland Empire native and graduate of CSU San Bernardino, Jake holds a B.A. degree in Communication Studies and an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication. He remains active in coaching youth softball and soccer teams and in leadership within the American Advertising Federation.
